RICHMOND, VA – February 1, 2016 – The Oaks of Dunlop Farms Apartments won two top awards at the Central Virginia Apartment Association awards banquet held at the Omni Hotel in Richmond on January 28, 2016. The Oaks was named Community of the Year (Affordable) in the category of apartment communities built before 2001, and was also named Community Team of the Year for their size – under 300 apartment homes. This marks the ninth time The Oaks has been named Community of the Year since it was built in 1989, and the second time the team was awarded Community Team of the Year.
Community Manager, Sincere Jeffries, has managed the property since 2003. “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just a little extra. We strive to do that every day for our residents and our fellow employees. At The Oaks, we go above and beyond with our service, and it makes the difference,” she said.
The Oaks of Dunlop Farms is a 144-unit apartment community in the Colonial Heights area of Richmond. Built in 1989, the community was financed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits to provide additional affordable housing in the area. The Oaks has one, two and three bedroom apartments with rents ranging from $792 to $1,105.
