Virginia Beach, VA – September 4, 2015 – The Franklin Johnston Group took three new communities under management in August – River Run Apartments in Woodbridge, Virginia; Greenwich Village Apartments in Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Park on Clairmont Apartments in Atlanta, Georgia.
Greenwich Village Apartments, located off I-264 and Witchduck Road in Virginia Beach, is owned by Rieder Holdings, Inc. of New York. The 224-unit, luxury community was built in 2013 and boasts stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and 9 foot ceilings. Residents enjoy the convenience of the community’s location as well as a state of the art fitness center and resort style pool.
Sun America – AIG transferred management of River Run Apartments in Woodbridge, Virginia to The Franklin Johnston Group, building on our existing partnership. The two-phase, 300-unit development was built in 1997 and primarily serves seniors age 55 and better. A partner since 2014, TFJG currently manages 11 of Sun America – AGI’s assets throughout Virginia.
FortCap, Inc., a multifamily real estate investment group based out of Virginia Beach, purchased Park on Clairmont Apartments on August 31. We assumed management immediately. The community is located in the Brookhaven area of Atlanta, Georgia and totals 111 units. An exterior renovation is planned for the fall of 2015, which will include a complete re-facing of the buildings and interior appliance upgrades.
The Franklin Johnston Group now manages approximately 10,700 units at 62 properties throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
