Christopher Pierson, Chief Operating Officer: Chris Pierson brings over 16 years of progressive leadership experience to his role as Chief Operating Officer at Franklin Group. Prior to joining FG, Chris served as COO of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Hampton Road’s only Level 1 academic hospital, which is a multibillion-dollar enterprise with more than 3,500 employees. During his eleven-year tenure at Sentara Healthcare, Chris held several key leadership roles, spearheading complex operational initiatives and guiding the organization through transformative change.

Chris began his career at Mary Washington Healthcare, where he successfully completed his administrative residency under the mentorship of the then CEO. He held various leadership positions at Mary Washington prior to moving to Virginia Beach. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Virginia and earned a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.

His expertise in operational complexity, resource optimization, and data-driven decision-making translates seamlessly to the challenges of property management. His deep commitment to principled leadership, performance excellence, and talent development aligns perfectly with Franklin Group’s mission and strategic goals.

A dedicated community leader, Chris has served as Chairman of Volunteer Hampton Roads, on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads, and as a Triton with the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival. He was also awarded the top 40 under 40 business leaders in Virginia. He brings to Franklin Group not only a distinguished résumé but also a reputation for integrity, discipline, and service.
