Virginia Beach, Va. – The Franklin Johnston Group in Virginia Beach has promoted Stephanie Bertucci to the position of Portfolio Manager. In her new role, Bertucci will be responsible for 4 properties totaling 1,154 units in Hampton Roads: Banyan Grove, Greenwich Village, Luna Pointe, and Springhouse.
Bertucci joined the company in early 2015 as a Community Manager of one of our largest market-rate assets. Having learned the ropes of the multifamily industry since 2008, she was especially successful in boosting occupancy and keeping delinquency below two percent. Soon after, she was promoted to Operation Analyst at The Franklin Johnston Group. Bertucci was responsible for improving and implementing company standards and operational policies, and assisted the migration of the residential management system, MRI. “During that time, Stephanie’s work ethic, problem solving, people skills, analytical aptitude, and willingness/ability to learn new things clearly distinguished her as someone that adds considerable value to the team” said, Chris McKee, President of Operations.
With her success and the firm’s fast growth, Stephanie was promoted to Operations Manager and either led or supported numerous initiatives for budgeting and reporting, streamline operational processes, and effectively leverage the technology platform. Perhaps more importantly, Stephanie become a “go to” for the Vice Presidents and Portfolio Managers as it related to overcoming the one-off, day-to-day challenges with process and technology. Her skill set continuously grew and she worked tirelessly to identify every opportunity to contribute to the organization including volunteering her time and talents to many company events.
