The Franklin Johnston Group in Virginia Beach has promoted Matt Hacker to the position of vice president, property operations.
The company owns and manages 12,000 units and more than 70 properties throughout the Eastern U.S.
In his new role, Hacker will be responsible for maximizing financial performance and managing resident relations at 14 properties totaling 2,144 units in Hampton Roads and Danville. The promotion took effect June 1.
He joined the company in April 2014 as a community manager. Hacker was promoted to senior community manager in December 2014 and was named a portfolio manager in September 2015.
Hacker holds a bachelor’s degree in property management with a minor in business leadership from Virginia Tech.
